Our Alinel Type A in deep black (RAL 9005) forms the powerful foundation of this contemporary home. The lower volume, clad in vertical black aluminium panelling, carries a cantilevered upper storey finished in warm reddish-brown brick slips. The contrast between the two materials hits the mark: warm against cool, solid against rhythmic, earthy against industrial.

The vertical lines of the Alinel cladding heighten the design’s sculptural impact, while lending the whole a light, refined texture. Beneath the cantilever, the dark plinth creates a sheltered entrance where architecture and function flow seamlessly into one another. Perforations in the upper façade add a subtle detail that gives the volume breathing room without breaking its rhythm.

A striking result of the collaboration with architects Van den Abbeele & Sepulchre en installer Steegmans Construct.
